NBA 2012/ The Mayans were right! Maybe.

With the NBA back for an amazing full length season, I have decided to throw my hat into the massive pool that is Basketball blogging. Here, I will be analyzing the recent goings on and rumbling throughout the league. As for myself, I am a Seattlite that misses the Sonics, a lot. I cannot understate this. I miss them bad. Which basically makes Chris Hanson my hero. But while I wait to get the Green and Gold back in my life I will, look objectively out unto the NBA landscape and give my 2 cents on other peoples teams I guess. I have a couple ideas on my first pieces. All in all Im pretty excited. Should be a fun season, as long as the Mayans weren't right. For all of us I hope they weren't.

The League's Most Interesting Team

       The NBA is in a very good place at the moment. Franchise value is skyrocketing, viewership is up, and a new TV deal has NBA salaries and league revenue higher than they’ve  ever been. Most importantly, the product is as compelling as its ever been. Every team has a player or storyline that will make the season interesting. FREE AGENCY BLOWOUT 2013 PART 1: THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE

This offseason has been pretty fun so far hasn't it? From the Draft to the recent free agent signing of Zaza Pachulia, everything that could happen seems to have happened. I mean, who saw Zaza signing a $15 million contract with the Bucks? If anyone raises their hand to that question they should be buying all of the lottery tickets right now. But I digress; let us first look at some of the moves from this off-season that I thoroughly enjoyed.           The 2013 draft. All of it. It was a night of crazy slides and surprise picks. I mean Anthony Bennett going first to Cleveland? How amazing is that. I may hate the pick but it is still enjoyed the announcement of that pick thoroughly. I mean, I have to think that they would be able to trade down for assets and still pick Bennett. But what do I know, Cleveland has been on fire when it comes to draft pick surprises. NBA Pool Players

Team USA basketball is some of the most compelling basketball you can watch. International play brings together some of the best basketball players in the world and sticks them on the same team; is there anything more compelling than great players playing with other great players? Any way, the player pool for the upcoming World Cup has been released and I thought it would be great to analyze the potential roster. Check out the full list of names  here . So there are some obvious player that are locks to make the cut for the Spain World Cup. All signs point to the two Kevin's (Durant and Love) making the trip to Spain later this year. So with the out the way here are who I think we will be sending to Spain to bring back the gold. Or is it a cup now? I can never keep these awards straight.
